I'm an author and illustrator of picture books for beginning readers. I believe in climbing trees, going outside when it rains, and eating Texmex.
My books focus on engaging beginning readers by creating content that can be read together, facilitates the discovery of patterns, and uses basic game design.

As a child I loved dolphins, drawing and reading and secretly believed that a wardrobe really could lead to another world.
I have a degree in public health and have worked in a variety of fields including engraving, tutoring, ESL, and organ donation. My first book as an adult was a lift the flap to help my eldest learn to read, and I spent years looking for the perfect set of beginning readers before realizing I can create my own.
I still love reading and drawing, and you can often find me enjoying a variety of food, painting, going on short hikes, caring for my house plants, and watching Thai TV. I am also a member of SCBWI.
